Project Goals and Scope
National Green Hydrogen Hub:-
The project aims to establish the country's first such hub by 2032, driving India's green energy goals.
Green Chemical Production: -
The hub will produce 2.5 million tonnes per year of green chemicals, including green ammonia, methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Infrastructure: ,-
NGEL is developing the central infrastructure, which includes:7 GW electrolyzer capacity.
7.5 GW transmission lines from the Central Transmission Unit (CTU) substation.
A desalination plant to supply water.
A captive port/jetty for logistics.
Chemical storage and logistics areas.
Location: -
The hub is situated over 1,200 acres at Pudimadaka, near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, offering connectivity to major transportation networks.
Developer Requirements
EOI Submission: -
Developers are invited to submit expressions of interest (EOIs) by October 24, 2025.
Supply Agreement:-
Selected developers will be required to source renewable power, water, and green hydrogen exclusively from NGEL.
Joint Ventures: -
NGEL may form joint ventures with selected developers for land sub-lease, water supply, green hydrogen, and other services.
