Designed in India, it's a fully indigenous project, part of the "Atmanirbhar Bharat" (self-reliant India) mission, using green hydrogen.
Technology: -
It's the world's longest (10 coaches) and most powerful (2400 kW) hydrogen train on a broad gauge platform, using fuel cell technology.
Zero Emissions: -
The only emission is water vapor, making it a truly clean transport solution.
Infrastructure: -
A dedicated green hydrogen production plant using electrolysis has been set up in Jind, Haryana, to fuel the trains.
Rollout: -
The pilot project will operate on the Jind-Sonipat route, demonstrating its viability for wider adoption.
