Achieving this requires dramatic cuts in emissions, primarily by moving away from fossil fuels, improving energy efficiency, and transitioning to renewable energy sources.
Net-Zero vs. Carbon Neutral: -
While often used interchangeably, "net zero" usually refers to all greenhouse gases (including methane and nitrous oxide), whereas "carbon neutral" typically focuses solely on carbon dioxide (CO2𝐢𝑂2).
Removal Methods: -
In addition to reducing emissions, removing existing GHGs is necessary, which can be achieved through natural sinks (forests, oceans) or technologies like direct air capture (DAC). 
Why it Matters:-
Without achieving net-zero, global temperatures will continue to rise, resulting in more severe climate impacts.
 Target set in the Paris Agreement, emissions must be cut by 45% by 2030.
