Immediate Steps to Take
Move to Cool Air: -
Get into the shade, an air-conditioned room, or a well-ventilated area immediately.
Actively Cool Down: -
Apply cool water, ice packs, or wet towels to the neck, armpits, and groin.
Rehydrate: -
Sip cool water or an electrolyte solution slowly. Avoid sugary, caffeinated, or alcoholic drinks.
Loosen Clothing: -
Remove heavy layers and loosen tight garments.
A core body temperature reaching 40∘C (104∘F) or higher.
Confusion, slurred speech, or delirium.
Fainting or seizures.Cessation of sweating despite extreme heat.Severe chest pain or shortness of breath.
