NTPC Group's installed electricity generation capacity reached 90,025 MW, following recent commercial additions at the Khavda Solar Project in Gujarat and the Patratu Super Thermal Power Project in Jharkhand. 
This milestone further cements the public sector undertaking's status as India’s largest integrated power utility. 

Key highlights of this expansion include:
Patratu Addition (Jharkhand):-
 Trial operations of Unit 2 (800 MW) at Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) took the project's capacity to 1,600 MW, pushing the entire NTPC Group over the 90 GW mark.
Khavda Addition (Gujarat):-
 NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NREL) added an additional 110.25 MW solar capacity at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Kutch.
Growth Trajectory:-
 NTPC added 5,488 MW of renewable capacity in FY 26 and has set a goal to hit 149 GW by 2032 (including 60 GW from renewable energy sources).
