Germany's Fraunhofer ISE holds the world record for the highest solar module efficiency, hitting an astonishing 34.4% for a III-V germanium photovoltaic module.
Here is how the record-breaking module breaks down:
Technology: -
Utilizes III-V triple-junction solar cells (adapted by AZUR SPACE) originally designed for space applications, combined with a shingle-matrix interconnection that overlaps solar cells to reduce shading.
Commercial Leader:-
For commercially available, mass-produced residential/commercial modules, AIKO leads the market at 24.4% efficiency using their proprietary ABC back-contact architecture.
Cell-Level Record: -
At the microscopic cell level (rather than full modules), LONGi holds the absolute world record of 34.85% efficiency using a crystalline silicon -perovskite tandem design.

State-wise carbon emissions in India show a concentration in western and southern states, with byd as major emitters, particularly from the manufacturing and energy sectors. The highest total CO2 emissions have been linked to states like Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, though the specific ranking can vary depending on the data year and the specific pollutants included.
