Key Revived Systems
Stepwells (Baolis and Vavs):- Subterranean architectural marvels built to reach deep groundwater and retain rainwater, such as the Moosi Rani Sagar in Rajasthan and various sites in Gujarat and Telangana, are being cleared of silt and trash to recharge local aquifers. 
Karez Tunnels: -
Ancient underground gravity-fed tunnel networks, like the 500-year-old system in Bidar, southern India, are being unblocked to supply clean water for local agriculture and dry seasons. 
Johads: -
Traditional earthen check dams championed by water conservationists like Rajendra Singh in Rajasthan are successfully rejuvenating dead rivers and raising local water tables.
