Kedarnath ropeway is a new 12.9 km project being built by Adani Enterprises to connect Sonprayag and Kedarnath, significantly reducing the travel time from the current 8–9 hour trek to just 36 minutes. This Rs 4,081 crore public-private partnership project is expected to be completed in six years and will use advanced 3S gondola technology with a capacity to carry 1,800 passengers per hour. The project aims to make the pilgrimage safer, faster, and more accessible, especially for the elderly and disabled.
