 In a joint press interaction alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, Putin explicitly stated, "Russia is a reliable supplier of oil, gas, coal, and everything necessary for the development of India's energy sector.

Putin positioned Russian energy as a strategic buffer for India's economy, assuring continued shipments to compensate for external trade pressures.

PM Modi reiterated that "energy security has been a strong and important pillar of the India–Russia partnership", as Russia remains the top supplier of crude oil to the country.
