How They Work
Water Flow: -
Natural ocean currents or tidal movements push against the turbine blades, causing them to turn.
Energy Conversion: -
The spinning rotor connects to a gearbox and generator (often housed in a protective shell called a nacelle) to produce electrical power.
Power Transmission: -
Subsea cables transmit the generated electricity from the seabed up to onshore power grids or local microgrids. 
Key Advantages
High Predictability:-
 Unlike wind or solar, ocean tides follow strict gravitational lunar cycles, allowing for reliable 24-hour power planning. 
Continuous Output:-
 Water is much denser than air, meaning even slow-moving underwater currents can generate substantial energy outputs compared to wind models of similar size. 
Low Visual Impact: -
Because these generators sit completely underwater or float semi-submerged, they avoid the aesthetic and land-use concerns of surface structures.
